The Tour Begins
(See “Victoria & Albert Museum Tour” map.)
• Start at the Grand Entrance lobby, on level 0. Depending on where you enter the museum, here’s how to get to the start of our tour:
The easiest is to use the Grand Entrance directly from Cromwell Road.
If entering via the pedestrian tunnel from the South Kensington Tube stop, go up the stairs to level 0 and continue straight through a long sculpture gallery. After about 100 yards, turn right through the bookshop, which takes you to the Grand Entrance lobby.
If entering at the Main Entrance along Exhibition Road, turn right, then left, proceed 100 yards through the sculpture gallery, then turn right through the bookshop.
Whichever route you take, once you reach the Grand Entrance lobby, look up into the rotunda.
